Inés Scotland (Chief Executive Officer)

 

Inés Scotland has held the position of Managing Director & CEO of Citadel Resource Group and it’s predecessor company Vertex Group for four years.  Prior to joining Citadel Inés spent fifteen years in the mining industry, the majority of this time working for Rio Tinto companies including Comalco, Lihir and Kennecott Utah Copper. During her career Inés has worked in professional positions in Australia, Papua New Guinea, USA and the Middle East and is currently located in Saudi Arabia and Australia with Citadel Resource Group. Inés’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science and graduate studies in economics.

 

Andrew P Thomson (Independent and Non-Executive Chairman)

Mr Thomson practices as Special counsel with Minter Ellison specializing in the Middle East. Recently, he drafted the General Tourism Law for the Government of Saudi Arabia, and is an active member of the Australian-Arab Chamber of Commerce.

Until 2005 Mr Thomson lived in Washington D.C. where he served at the World Bank as an Assistant and Acting Executive Secretary of the Inspection Panel. In this role he conducted investigations of developing world projects and also practiced as an attorney with Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Mr Thomson spent the early years of his career in Tokyo working as a fund manager for GT Management (Japan) Ltd and later as an investment banker at Credit Suisse-First Boston.

Before moving to Washington D.C. in 2001 Mr Thomson was a Member of Parliament in Australia, representing a district in Sydney in the house of Representatives. 

 

David Regan (Independent and Non-Executive Director)

Mr. Regan has significant experience in the resources industry and in the Middle East and Northern African regions in particular. Mr. Regan was with BHP Billiton from 1996 to 2004 as the Vice President Operations in Algeria and then VP Business Development North Africa & Middle East Regions. Prior to this Mr. Regan was with Arco Coal in Australia in various positions including Corporate Solicitor, Marketing and Project Planning. Mr. Regan´s last position with Arco was as President Arco El Djazzair (1993 to 1996). Mr. Regan holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, where he graduated in 1973 and a Management Development Certificate from Harvard Business School completed in 1993.

 

Ralph Stagg (Non-Executive Director)

Ralph is a geologist and has over 35 years experience in all facets of gold and base metal exploration and development. through his company, Project Geoscience Pty Ltd, Ralph is a technical advisor to Vertex and Bariq, Ralph has extensive experience in Australasia, Africa and the Middle East and with international companies such as Cominco, Falconbridge and Pennzoil (Battle Mountain). Mr Stagg has considerable experience serving on the boards of ASX listed companies including Heritage Gold NZ Ltd and Sirocco Resources Nl.

 

 

Kris Knauer (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Knauer joined the board of ADV in February 2006 to assist with the restructuring of the company. He graduated from the university of NSW with a Bachelor of Applied Geology (Hons) and initially spent 5 years working as an exploration geologist. Mr Knauer then went to BNP as a mining analyst where he specialised in the emerging resource stocks. In addition to Kris’s experience as a geologist he has in excess of 10 years experience in investment banking and stockbroking with a focus on the development of smaller companies. He is currently Executive Director Equities at Novus Capital Limited.

 

 

Fletcher Quinn (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Quinn has more than 20 years experience in corporate finance and investment banking. He has considerable experience in public company finance, development, management and governance. He has been a director of several listed resource companies both in Australia and Canada during his career, most recently FSA Group Limited, a listed financial services company and Sirocco Resources Nl, (now Renison Consolidated Mines Nl ) a resource company listed on the Australian Exchange.
